I studied jazz with you at JSU 1983-87. I hope all is well with you and your family. These days, I don't get to play music so much. My focus is on work and family life, so I get to watch my kids. I fondly remember those days "back when," especially our May minimester recruiting tours with the JSU jazz bands. Best wishes!

Wow, I found the great Ron Surace. I don't know if you recall me, but I do you. I studied Jazz and composition with you at JSU about 1,000 years ago. It appears you're doing well. God bless and keep making music!

Ron, Is that you playing on Kent State Jazz Date with Bobby Brack? A friend of mine had that album and we used to listen to it whenever we got together. We always thought it was a fantastic jazz album and it was a sin that it was so anonymous. It's an honor to be able to write and say hello after all these years. What became of Bobby Brack? There's almost nothing about him on the internet. Glad to see you're still playing. If I get to Chicago I'll try and come to see you play if possible. I'm in PA. Best, Curt

Hi Ron, I still have wonderful memories of the times I was fortunate enough to have providing rythm behind you and Szabo. I've never lost my love for Jazz that came from my association with you and our times together in the 158th. You seem to be doing great and I hope that my next time in Chicago that I will be able to have the chance to enjoy your sounds. Take care and play one for me. Your friend, Jerry Mersch

I recall seeing and hearing you in concert at Oberlin College. My wife and I went with Joe Trifileti, another one of your many Ohio fans. Hope 2009 finds your personal and professional life the best ever!

Ron,
Glad you are doing what you love and thrive at. Haven't seen you in over 20 years but remember our times together often. Love to see you some time when Pam and I are traveling through Evanston area. Hope Ann and "kids" are well. Love to hear how they are doing. Catch up. Hope you remember our JSU days playing together as colleagues fondly. If you have a chance like to hear from you. Would really love to hear from you, hope you are doing well. I still play a lot, in a couple of diffferent bands. I really appreciate all that you did for me. I play better than I ever did, and have not let up over the years, even with a busy teaching schedule. Let me know how you and your family are doing. Tom Moore
